Shana Rubelow, Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern
Hi, I’m Shana. I’m currently completing my internship as part of my graduate training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I’ve always felt a deep love for people and a strong desire to be a steady, caring presence for others — especially during difficult or uncertain times.
Before entering graduate school, I worked as a program director in a residential treatment center, where I had the honor of supporting individuals facing intense emotional and mental health struggles, including trauma, addiction, and eating disorders. That experience deeply shaped me.
I witnessed how powerful it can be when someone feels safe, supported, and truly seen. I carry that with me into every session.
My approach is warm, gentle, and grounded in connection. I believe that healing happens when we feel accepted as we are, and I strive to create a space where clients can explore their stories, reconnect with their inner strength, and take meaningful steps forward. I’m especially passionate about working with people who feel stuck, invisible, or unsure of where to begin.
Outside the therapy room, I’m a devoted mother of two, and my own life journey continues to guide the empathy, patience, and light I bring to this work. It’s a privilege to walk beside others in their healing, and I feel truly honored to be part of that process.
